Expose' of Foster Care in Colorado

Colorado Interim Committee on Foster Care - Parents Need Not Provide Input - 2000

Our legislature has appointed an Interim Committee to look into problems with foster care. This committee is a direct result of the articles published in the Denver Post about the appalling state of our foster care system. The state of Colorado had to get a public black eye before it would take any action on this important issue. Unfortunately, this just looks like another dog and pony show for the benefit of stroking the public back into complacence.  Read entire article.

Colorado Task Force Appointees - 1999

The Governor’s office has released the names of the appointees for the Governor”s Task Force on Child Welfare. Looking at the list of government bureaucrats and lackeys appointed convinces me that nothing good will come of this boondoggle - in fact, things will probably get worse. Read entire article.

The Dirty Secret of Child Welfare Fraud

FAC Sheet April 26, 2004

Here is an interesting article published in 2004 that includes predictions about the future of family advocacy. Looking back, the predictions were remarkably accurate, but failed to take into account the effect of the cons, kooks, whackadoodles and abusers on the practice of family advocacy, but that is a subject for another article. Just let the reader note that no support for the author of this article was provided by the rest of the family rights movement. In fact, many of them are now being sued for doing the same things to the author that the child welfare practitioners were doing to her, just in case anyone was interested.
